MODIFIED PATCHWORK PANDEMONIUM WORKSHOPPE SUPPLY LIST

This is a reminder of the Modified Patchwork Panedmonium Workshoppe that is coming to Scrapbook Generation in Springfield, Missouri on Monday, August 22nd from 12 to 5.

 

For those of you who are taking the Modified Patchwork Pandemonium Workshoppe, here is the Supply List of items you will need to bring with you.

Craft Sheet, Scissors, Pencil, Glue Dots, Hot Glue Gun, Double Sided Tape, Matte Multi Medium, Ink Blending Tool, Sanding Block, Heat Tool, Glossy Accents, Black Archival Ink and Various Colors of Distress Inks; especially Vintage Photo, Black Soot and Walnut Stain.

I will provide all the Distress Stains, Alcohol Inks, Paint Dabbers, Perfect Pearls Mists and Distress Crackle Paints for you to experiment with and create your wonderful backgrounds after learning various Distress Grunge Techniques.  Everything you see pictured above will be included in your kit (although they may not be the same number or sentiment on the Muse Token or Philosophy Tag).

I will also have my collection of Tim Holtz stamps available for you.  You can make your pandemonium piece just like the sample or "go rogue" (highly encouraged) and make your own designs.

MODIFIED PATCHWORK PANDEMONIUM IS COMING TO SCRAPBOOK GENERATION!!!

Hey everybody!  I'm excited to announce my next class that will be at Scrapbook Generation here in Springfield, Missouri on Monday, August 22nd from 12 to 5 pm.  I'm calling it "Modified Patchwork Pandemonium!"

Here is what we will be making.  

This class is a Tim Holtz technique rich class.  You will be working with Distress Inks, Distress Stains, Perfect Pearls Mists, Crackle Paints, Distress Stickles, Paint Dabbers, Alcohol Inks Grungebaord, Tissue Tape and of course, Ideaology.  You will learn several distress techniques that you will incorporate into this piece...but the techniques can be used on so many things...not just this wall hanging!  My collection of Tim Holtz and Wendy Vecchi stamps will be available to the class so that if you don't like the stamps I've used in this design, you can create your own, uniquely YOU piece!

This wall hanging is set in a 7 Gypsies 12x12 black frame with six 4x6 compartments.  It will be a beautiful addition to your home or craft room!

DAILY JUNQUE BOOK SUPPLY LIST

As promised, I am posting the list of supplies needed for the Daily Junque Gatefold Book Workshop.  So for those of you who don't live in the area or are not signed up for the workshop, please bear with me as I post this for my Daily Junque Gals who are coming!!

Here are a couple more peeks at what we'll be doing....

The workshop is at Scrapbook Generation in Springfield, Missouri on Monday, June 27th from noon to 5pm.  This book is so much fun to make and I'm really looking forward to sharing its construction and that special time together with the ladies who will be attending. 

Here is the list of supplies you will need to bring with you:

Black Cats Eye Ink Pad, 1/4" Double Sided Tape, Scissors, Ruler, Glue, Adhesive Tape Runner, Stapler, Black Masking Tape, Brayer, Black Soot and Vintage Photo Distress Inks and Applicators, Sanding Block, Black Permanent Ink, Score Pad, Bone Folder, 1" Circle Punch, Paper Trimmer

**  If you don't have one of the above items, I will have extra you can use.  All other items will be provided for you in your Daily Junque Book Kit.  WooHoo!  Can't wait!!! 

DAILY JUNQUE IS COMING!!!

I just put the finishing touches on my new workshop featuring the Daily Junque collection from Pink Paislee.  It's a gatefold paper bag book made from the colorful and fun papers of the Daily Junque collection.   I showed it to my husband last night and when he opened it up, his eyes got big and he said, "Whoa!  There's a lot going on in here!"  He loved it and could not believe that it's made primarily with paper bags. 

The book is full of special motivational sentiments, vintage travel photos and tons of pockets to put all sorts of things including the wonderful Daily Junque Ephemera that is included in the workshop, your own pictures and memorabilia or journaling.

The book is 8 1/2" closed and 18 1/2" when completely folded out.

These are just small sections from pieces of a couple of pages.  As you can see just from this sneak peek, there is a lot of "junque" in this book!!

The Back Cover is also unique and students will be able to duplicate this idea or use other stamps that will be available to them to make this book truly their own.

GRUNGY MONDAY CHALLENGE

It's time for another Grungy Monday...only it's Tuesday.  Here is my entry into Studio L3's really fun and fantastic Grungy Monday Challenge.  I love doing this challenge because it lets me get my "Tim" style on and play with all of his wonderful stamp, dies, inks and Ideaology stuff.  The possibilities are endless!!

So, here is my tag using Tim's technique from The Twelve Tags of Christmas 2007, Day 8 for the background.  I used a Terra Cotta Paint Dabber and then a combination of Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and a touch of Black Soot to finish the background.

Then I stamped the vintage camera "Photographic Studio" image from Tim's Captured Moments Stamp Set.  I slit the top of the camera and made a ribbon from Tim's Filmstrip Ribbon coming from the top of the camera and winding its way down the side of the tag. 

I used Tim's Mini Baroque die cut on a piece of chipboard and cream cardstock.  I stamped a portion of the vintage photo image (with Walnut Stain) from Tim's Photo Studio Stamp Set.  I distressed the background with Vintage Photo and a bit of Walnut Stain and just a hint of Dried Marmalade to pull in the orange from the background.  I popped the image into place using pop dots.  

Finally, I added some Tattered Flowers cut from basic cream cardstock and Kraft Glassine Papers.  I heat embossed a script with white embossing powder on the Kraft Glassine flowers and went over the image with Vintage Photo.  I then stamped a checkerboard pattern on the cream cardstock by multi inking the stamp with Dried Marmalade and Walnut Stain.  I then inked the edges of the flowers with the browns and a touch of Black Soot.

I will be at SCRAPBOOK GENERATION in Springfield, MO this evening doing free demonstrations on EMBOSSING 101 from 6 to 8pm.  If you're in the area, come on by and learn all about embossing powders, techniques and then have fun playing and experimenting!

DISTRESS INKS 101 AT SCRAPBOOK GENERATION ~ APRIL 14TH

JUST A QUICK REMINDER TO THOSE OF YOU IN THE SPRINGFIELD, MO AREA...

I WILL BE TEACHING AND DEMONSTRATING DISTRESS INKS THURSDAY, APRIL 14TH FROM 6 TO 8 PM AT SCRAPBOOK GENERATION. 
WE CALL IT "DISTRESS INKS 101"!

COME OVER AND JOIN US FOR AN EVENING OF TECHNIQUE FUN! I WILL DEMONSTRATE SEVERAL DIFFERENT TIM HOLTZ STYLE TECHNIQUES USING DISTRESS INKS AND THEN YOU GET A CHANCE TO EXPERIMENT AND PLAY WITH THE INKS!  IT'S FUN AND BEST OF ALL...IT'S FREE!!  I HOPE TO SEE LOTS OF YOU THERE!  

BUNNIES BUNNIES EVERYWHERE!!!!

I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon than to hang out with a group of talented ladies who want to CREATE!!!  That's what I had the privilege of doing today!  I taught the Vintage Bunny Box class at SCRAPBOOK GENERATION in Springfield, Missouri!  They have an awesome classroom area and we took full advantage of that today!

Some of the ladies skipped out before I could get a class picture.  But, here are some of the ladies and their finished bunny boxes!!  From start to finish...only THREE HOURS!  These girls had it goin' on!!  Everyone said that they had a great time playing, visiting and learning new techniques that they can apply to lots of their other crafting projects!  So, THANK YOU LADIES for letting me teach you and totally enjoying my time with you!!!

And...I get to teach TWO classes this weekend at FOR KEEPS SAKE in St. Louis, Missouri!  I am sooo excited to go there and teach the Configuration of your Imagination Vintage Bird Box and this Vintage Bunny Box.

I just completed my class project for May at Scrapbook Generation.  I gave the ladies in class a "Sneak Peek" today and they loved it.  It's the Vintage Butterfly Garden Book made from Pink Paislee's beautiful new Butterfly Garden papers, embellishments and other vintage images that I added.  I will be showing some sneak peeks as soon as I get some pictures taken!  Be looking for that class on May 23rd from 12 to4 or 5-ish!!!
