It's the first of November! Can you believe that?!? Where has this year gone? We will be decking the halls and hanging up stockings for Santa before you know it!
I wanted to share a bit of news with you all that I am sooooo excited about. I am published in a magazine for the very first time! It is in the current edition of
My friend and fellow multi media artist and Ranger U alum, Linda Cain encouraged me to submit some of my work...something I have NEVER done before to any publication. So, imagine my surprise when I got an email from Linda the other day saying "Congrats" on being published. I'm sure my jaw dropped to the floor. She had to send me pictures before I would believe her! haha
My copy of the magazine came in the mail; proving that I was indeed published! I'm still pinching myself.
This magazine is full of very cool, strictly steampunk style pieces: jewelry, dolls, home decor, paper arts, etc. It's a feast for the eyes and I highly recommend it!
Here are my pages in the magazine:
The three tags are mine.
This steampunk style dressform.
Mr. Bones...the steampunk skeleton.
And these pages....My 5x7 canvas and Wendy Vecchi "Off The Hook" pieces are featured on the right. And....LINDA CAIN'S beautiful Steampunk House is featured on the left! How cool is THAT? Linda and I are side by side! This is an absolute THRILL for me to even be in the same magazine with this talented lady! Her art is AMAZING!
Another of my Ranger U alums featured in this magazine is the very talented Candy Rosenberg. Her steampunk work is second to none; most recently having won the "Fan Favorite" title for her Steampunkery Corset Dress at Summer CHA 2012.
So, while I'm doing the "Snoopy Dance" at my house, I hope that you are having an equally wonderful day!
